Judge: Ian Love
Naomi and Carol did a superb job organising this competition and everything went as smooth as silk. Thanks must go to Ian (Love) who stepped in at the last moment to do the judging and although he openely admitted that he wasn't an accredited judge in the true meaning, he did the club proud and in many respects made the evening one of the most enjoyable contests we have had.
The Colour section was hard for Ian to judge as there were so many fine prints on display with six images held back for later scoring. The honours eventually went to Val, Lynne and Dave, with Paul gaining a Highly Commended.
The mono section had fewer entries but once again, Ian remarked how excellent were all the prints. This time he held back five prints and gave prizes to all of them. Joint 1st went to Val and Paul, joint 2nd to Paul and Andy and 3rd to Dave. Highly Commended went to two images - Pauls and ?
At the end of the competition George thanked Ian and commented that the standard of the club was increasing enormously.

Footnote from Photographer: My image was taken at Christmas Tree Point in the celebrity homes area of Twin Peaks, made famous by the TV series of the same name. Houses in that area are enormous and change hands for anything between $100 Milion to $1Billion. To get this shot from a distance of over 2 miles from downtown San Franscisco, I used a 300mm telephoto lens, no tripod. In the right background is the Golden Gate Bridge.
